The One Where the Girls Learn Polocrosse The Marie storyline was a little bit strange also because I don't remember it going anywhere in the series, but I could be wrong - we'll see , but not totally unwelcome.
I enjoyed the introduction of polocrosse to The Saddle Club's lives; it was kind of like reading about Quiddich games in Harry Potter. Reading it back-to-back with Team Play, which was also a Stevie-driven story, was a little bit too madcap, but both books are fun. Sep 14, Sam Wescott rated it liked it. One of the slightly more boring ones, mostly because it's pretty sporty and Stevie Feels Competitive is a pretty bland storyline.
And the thing with Marie felt a little abrupt and weird? But I do remember really loving books about Stevie and Phil as a kid - they're a comforting sort of middle school couple that I remember kinda looking up to. Even when they're being stubborn and silly.
